Sofie leads the newly created Micro-credential AI for Business Leaders course at Trent University. She is the author of the "Your Social Strategy & Plans" series and hosts the highly regarded seminar series "Leveraging the Power AI & of the Internet," reaching hundreds of professionals each month. For the past decade, she has lectured a sold-out third-year class on Online Marketing Principles at Trent University, now offering these best practices through her own course to business professionals via Workshops, Webinars, and most recently, offers the first AI Micro-credentials at Trent University.

Sofie is recognized as a leader in digital marketing, Sofie works with various groups, including Economic Development organizations, Chambers of Commerce, small business centers, Fortune 500 companies, and the online business community. Her expertise focuses on AI and digital marketing training for businesses of all sizes. She frequently appears on regional television as a local expert discussing the impact of digital marketing.

 

Sofie earned her undergraduate degree in Computer Science and her Master's in Engineering with a specialization in Information Systems from the University of Toronto. Committed to her community, she identifies and addresses gaps through volunteering, particularly in entrepreneurship. Sofie has served as Chair of the award-winning Bears' Lair Entrepreneurship Competition, a founding member of StartUpPeterborough, and as a board member for both the Peter Chamber of Commerce and the Women's Business Network ofborough. Sat as a long-standing Judge for EDCO's Economic Development Council of Ontario Annual Marketing Awards, co-founder of FemSteamPtbo, and the director and host of BizMapPtbo, in addition to her past role on the board of Peterborough Community Futures.
